Period for submitting Official Declarations opens as of January 15

Official Declarations for the VIII Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean can be submitted from 15 January through this link.

Delegations are encouraged to submit their statements as soon as possible after the opening of the period, which closes on 20 February. Declarations submitted by 1 February 2023 will be available on the website on 23 February 2023. Declarations submitted after this date will only be available on the PR23 website after 28 February.

Please note that only persons authorised to speak on behalf of a specific Member State, stakeholder group or international or regional organisation may submit a statement. UNDRR will contact the person submitting the statement in unclear cases to confirm identity and mandate.
