The session aims to show how governance based on comprehensive disaster risk management was implemented in Uruguay in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this session, the audience will be exposed to the application of the legal framework, the methods used to geo-reference cases, the communication of data to the population, and the lessons learned from this bi-national management of a compounded health, migration, and social emergency.
