 Learning Labs 3
 Virtual

The goal of this facilitated Learning Lab is to strengthen the mutual understanding of IBF services, which routinely operate to provide actionable information on the potential impact of hazards, in a form that the general public, disaster managers, the private sector and other stakeholders understand and can use to protect lives, livelihoods, assets and property. This session will seek to:

  • Introduce the concepts of Early Warning Services and Impact-Based Forecasting
  • Build mutual understanding on the depth and breadth of opportunities and challenges in strengthening the availability of and access to impact-based multi-hazard early warning services delivering actionable disaster risk information to all people.
  • Create a “living document” of collective intelligence on IBF to nourish current initiatives with views and opinions of different stakeholders and interested parties on impact-based multi-hazard early warning services.
