The session is intended to provide concise but relevant information about the wildfires and/or lightning information systems in the Americas. This session particularly aims to:

  • Review wildfire monitoring, prediction and response in the Americas.
  • Review the region’s progress and challenges in lightning detection and prediction.
  • Identify best practices for integrating lightning and wildfire data systems.
  • Improve current risk management approaches for these hazards.
  • Share the IBC’s findings on CC and wildfire resilience.
